Channels

Switch channels in Settings. Switching immediately forces a fresh update check (the normal cooldown is skipped).

How checks work

• A check runs on every app launch (if one hasn't already happened recently) and again every 6 hours while the app stays open.
• The app fetches a small version.xml manifest, compares the channel's listed build number to the installed one, and only prompts if the server's build is genuinely newer.
• Each offered update is remembered — you won't see the same prompt twice, even across app restarts, unless you switch channels or a newer build appears.
• The correct APK for your device's CPU architecture is selected automatically (ARM64, ARM32, x86_64, x86, or a universal fallback).

Manual check

Two ways to force a check right now:

1. Overflow menu (⋮) → Check for Updates
2. About screen → Check for Updates button

Both always report a result — either the update dialog, or a "you're up to date" message.

Installing an update

Tap Install in the update dialog. The APK downloads with a progress bar, then Android's installer takes over. You'll need to grant install unknown apps permission for A-SWDAV if you haven't already — the app will prompt you to Settings if it's missing.
